One of our central goals is to make the logistics of the recycling process for used batteries as simple as possible for our customers. We therefore focus on a decentralized network for delivery close to our customers.
When disposing of hazardous materials such as batteries, the shortest possible route to the first station in the recycling process is a major advantage. The LUEG sites in Germany and Switzerland offer the best conditions. The advantage: Electrically powered vehicles have been sold, serviced and repaired at the sites for years, so that know-how and infrastructure for the professional handling of lithium-ion batteries are already in place. The functions of these logistics hubs include deep discharging, a sorting and testing process as well as dismantling, temporary storage and provision for transport to our Meppen recycling center.
In the start-up phase, three sites will be used as logistics hubs for Re.Lion.Bat. Further sites will be successively integrated into the process from 2024. Logistics control and operative order management in accordance with waste legislation are mapped out by specialists in the Deppe back office.
